PxS.6 introduction:

Hi, we are PxS.6 from Holland. We are four musicians who will really entertain the audience with a wide mix of music styles; from metal to harsh industrial and from true mechanized sounds to classical music. We truely hope that you’ll enjoy our music and that you are ready to support us afterwards.



PxS.6 biography:

PxS.6 is the creation of Bauke, who gave birth to a project named PsychoXormicuS in summer 2006. After he created a few songs he got the ambition to produce a full demo CD, which gave him the idea to bring Irene into the band because of her experiences with synths and keys. After some time of considering several concepts, the desicion has been made to bring in a guitar player named Jeroen, to give the music an industrialized metal attitude. This was also the time of the change of the name into the one we all know now: PsychoXormicuS pointed a little too much to Xormic (Bauke) in person in stead of the band, so we decided to take the P (Psycho) and the X (Xormic) to create the new bandname. Although, PX sounded a little bit too boring, so we added the S (XormicuS) to the name as well. Still not satisfying enough according to us, so we decided to paste a six at the end of the name, resulting in PxS.6 (there’s really no special meaning for the six as you can see).
After the nice tunes on the first song called ‘Andriod’, the band found out that guitarplayer Jeroen didn’t really felt connected with the music, so he left PxS.6 in the first months of 2007. Forced by the lose of our guitarplayer, we decided to work slightly on some new tunes. This was also the time of the first remix offers. PxS.6 made remixes of Sadiztik Injektion, Doomsday Refreshed Committee, Projekt Death Glam a.o. Irene and Bauke continued to create more and more tunes, and in March of 2007 Mark, a new guitar player, offered his services to the band, which were accpeted immidiately. With a new direction, which can be best described as industrial noise/power noise, two more songs (‘MegaHerz’ and ‘Fabrik’) were born and the plans for the long awaited ‘Machine from Hell’ demo CD became more and more serious. While ‘MegaHerz’ has a refreshing sound and a danceable attitude, ‘Fabrik’ sounds a bit like the opposite with its typical industrial noises. We also launched our official website around this time. The site and the artwork are all courtesy of our guitarplayer Mark.
When March 2007 was getting closer to its end, Martijn (known for his works on his solo project Raudivian Device) joined the band to add his wide experiences in ambient, classical music and metal to out music. He will already have his contribution set on the upcoming demo CD!



So, to keep a long story short, we offer you a very wide musical experiences, influenced by many styles and directions.



PxS.6 on stage:

PxS.6 will play on stage with four people, aiming for a very diverse set including harsh industrial noise, industrial metal, classical music, ambient, noise, etc.



The line up will be the following one:

Mark – Guitars & Backing Vocals

Martijn – Synths & Laptop

Irene – Synths

Bauke – Percussions & Vocals




From time to time, Mark and Bauke will be playing DJ sets too.
